Welp, here we go again. I’m following through with this hairbrained idea of documenting my threads. In an elevator. Like you do.
This week got a little cooler, which was great, because OPTIONS! Plus, I am a fan of solving my outfitting dilemmas by just putting more things on. Eventually, something will work! Also, you may look like a bag lady.
First up, a fairly plain ensemble of a flowered shirt (I like to call it my Obama shirt. First Ladies: They’re just like us!), kicky red pants and yellow flats. Red pants forever, you guys. Red pants forever.
Ah, here you see evidence that the temperature has dipped slightly. Like into the 60s! In Atlanta that means it’s time to whip out the big guns: scarves and boots. Also, time to switch from iced coffee to hot coffee. This dress is one I found at a consignment store, and I love it. It is super duper comfy, and has lots of colors to coordinate with in it, like navy and burgundy and tan and … navy. Great piece for my Bag Lady look later on in the winter. Also, heads up: that crocheted scarf gets MAD play in cooler weather.
I totally took this picture with a dude standing next to me in the elevator. This is my I’m-doing-important-work-type-things-on-my-phone look. I’m very clandestine, don’t you think? Anyway, I’m wearing stripes, can you believe it? And also a top knot, which is in heavy rotation in the hair files these days, since I am a few inches away from sitting on my split ends every time I take a load off. (Not really.) Nothing groundbreaking, but comfortable, presentable, etc. Which, let’s face it, are my two main goals here.
Whoa, why so serious, self? Is it the glasses? Yes, glasses mean you must be serious always. Remember this. Also another consignment find skirt. And boots! Boots are my favorite.
P.S. I am drinking coffee in all of these shots courtesy of my sister, who got me a big fat gift card for my birthday, which is making all my days better, thank you Sarah.
You can’t see it, but the shirt I have on under this sweater has ruffles and polka dots, fancying up my outfit quite nicely, I think. Also, my yellow shoe-wearing is out of control. Who knew yellow shoes were so versatile? (Me, apparently.) Also, I need new shoes.
So, the lesson here is … yellow shoes and a silver bag go with everything? Taking your photo on the elevator makes you look like a doofus? I drink too much coffee? I don’t know. Choose your own adventure! Slash summary! I really should get more sleep before posting on here.
