In 21 days, this kid will be done with Kindergarten. WOWZA.
Clearly this is an important topic to learn right about now. On Sunday in Children’s Church I was trying to make a simple point about butterflies being symbols of resurrection because it looks like the cocoon is something dead, but then a butterfly emerges…etc. However, when I said it was a caterpillar before it built a cocoon SEVERAL children stopped me. “Actually, it was an egg…and then a larvae…” and they had to collectively school me on the entire life cycle of the butterfly…thus was basically the end of my short and sweet lesson that should have led into plenty of craft time for making cute butterfly crafts. Darn smart kids.
