Weekend Still Shot: There is no still shot

I would take a nice picture of some scene around our house and post it, but I’m not feeling very take-a-nice-picturey at the moment, as I am sitting outside my house on the front steps in order to keep the sound of Rosie’s shrill, screaming, wailing miserable cries from reaching my ears. I attempted to put her down for a nap at 12:10 p.m. It is now 1:32. I’ll let you do the math on that one. Our struggles with Rosie were good fodder for some humorous Facebook status updates for a while, but now I’m just feeling worn thin, like a sweater put through the wash one too many times.

Also, we are in the middle of painting the entire living room.

Also, we are hosting 14 of our family members for Thanksgiving on Thursday.

Also, we’ve been telling Rosie for days that today she would be moving into her big girl bed.

Basically what I’m saying to you is: hold me.

UPDATE: And she’s still going strong at 2:13. Saints preserve us. (I don’t know what that means, but it seems appropriate somehow.)

Oh…I totally feel your two hours of no-sleep-nap-banshee-screaming….

it gets better.

there are days when taylor still refuses to sleep/nap, but at least the screaming phase is over.

I have found ear plugs and a beverage to be most helpful

Ack. Well, we’re generally past the screaming, but the non-napping..yeah, we’re there. AGAIN. You have my full sympathy.
