The First Day

Yesterday after I went to pick Noah up from school, he came home and flopped down on his bed declaring that he was “majorly tired” and needed to rest. A few minutes later he called me in to his room and I observed that “needing to rest” seemed to involve a whole lot of jumping off the side of the bed and yelling WAHOO at ear-shattering decibels. “How many hours until I go back tomorrow?” he paused for a second to ask. “Mmmm, about fifteen,” I said, counting up. He let out a long sigh. “Aw, man. That’s so long.”

I think Operation First Day of Kindergarten can safely be marked down under “Rousing Success.”

On another note- Have you heard the Jack Johnson version of this song? I almost suggested it to you last week while I was up there. :)

Yippee, Noah! Breathe deeply, Rachel and L! A new chapter in your lives has begun.

This was the sweetest sweetest video! Uh, when Gigi is ready for her first day, I hope copying is the best form of flattery…cause that song was so perfect.

Saw this and the on of Rosie and the blues. Too bad I don;t have volume here in Prague. The videos would be even better!

What a great clip! I really enjoyed it–although I thought I saw myself–that gray-haired teacher in the middle. We must all look alike!
