We did keep a gerbil in a box in a garage freezer for a while...but then we moved.

Leigh Ann - I have Chili's coasters too! That is where we always went before going to a movie in high school. Or after going to kickboxing class - counterproductive, I know, but that's what we did. And you are still cool.

I have a huge memory box and scrapbooks with pictures and concert and movie ticket stubs - that is what I spent most of my time doing since I was non-athletic or musical and had no hobbies. There is also a toothbrush melted into a bracelet that a friend made for me (that yes, I actually wore). I haven't looked in this box since I downsized from three boxes to one before I got married. ( I did have separate middle school, high school, and college boxes). I used to save EVERYTHING.

Perhaps I will mosey on up to the attic to see what's in there over Christmas break. could be scary.

oh, i have a whole box full of high school memories! and not just any ol' box. my dad (who, i guess knew me better than i thought) bought me for Christmas one year in high school a mahogany engraved memory box! it's full of embarrassing notes, pictures, and glow in the dark condoms (bought on a dare!) but, it also has some pretty cool stuff. the part of the basketball net that i got to cut down as a senior after winning the county championship. my ALL-Tournament medal from volleyball, and the cardboard coasters from Chile's where the varsity softball team (who won the state championship the year before) took me as a freshman to "induct" me onto the team! yep, i was a freshman on a returning varsity state champion team! sooooo awesome! so i guess whenever i'm feeling down i can open that box (and filter trough all the cringe-worthy diaries, notes, and pictures) and look at all my sport accomplishments and think "wow, i was cool....once upon a time."

The only reason I don't have an incredibly embarrassing diary (with a purple plastic cover) in my keepsakes box is because I threw it away a few years ago. And I stand by that decision.
I do have several papers from middle school and high school English that are almost as cringe inducing. Not sure why they made the cut.

On a bookshelf at my parents' house is a shoebox collaged over with magazine pictures of cute guys, weird quotes from Sassy and other bizarre teen mags, and who knows what else.

Inside is a collection of strange things that are somehow related to my then best friend and I's crushes. Including a collection of the..you know the things that stay around the neck of a bottle when you open the cap? A whole collection of those. Because my crush saved them for me and gave them to me at lunch from his drink.

No, I dont know either.

Also included are handwritten lists of goofy rules on how to care for your *INSERT CRUSH'S NAME HERE*
